Freight Farms has announced a new partnership with Local Line, an all-in-one sales platform tailored to farmers. This collaboration is part of Freight Farms’ ongoing commitment to equipping new farmers with the necessary resources to establish successful businesses.

Ontario-based Local Line, founded in 2015, aims to assist existing and aspiring farmers on their path to profitable farming. The platform offers a range of features, such as price lists for different customer segments, inventory management, invoicing, and payment options – all designed to help farmers grow their businesses or kickstart their operations.

This partnership is seen as a natural fit, given the shared mission of both companies to foster local food systems. While Freight Farms strives to empower community farming, Local Line focuses on ensuring the profitability of these local farming businesses and strengthening their connections with customers.

Thanks to this partnership, farmers can simultaneously utilize Freight Farms and Local Line to establish a profitable farm business. New and existing Freight Farmers can now avail of a free premium feature from Local Line for a year with their subscription and discounts on marketing and website setup services.

A local Line is a valuable tool for those Freight Farmers who wish to dedicate more time to farming and less to sales. For farmers prioritizing crop optimization, flavor profiles, and farm environment, Local Line can transform their farming operations into viable businesses. With features like hosting an online store, order processing, and automated inventory management, Local Line allows farmers to reclaim time for what they truly love – growing food.

While Freight Farms supports farmers in setting up a container farm and commencing growth, Local Line’s services simultaneously facilitate the launch of their businesses. This way, when the first harvest is ready, a customer base is already eagerly waiting to purchase the crops.

Several Freight Farmers, including Fare House Farms in Sugarlands, Texas, already utilize Local Line’s services. Co-owner and operator Alex Armstrong uses Local Line as an online store to sell crops like basil, arugula, and live lettuce heads to local consumers.
