“As a kid, my mom spent a lot of time teaching my brothers and me the importance of growing your own food. Even in the frigid Michigan winters, she would grow micro-greens on a shelving unit in our basement.

A lot of grocery store produce, especially in four-season regions, travels hundreds if not thousands of miles before it’s even presented to the customer.

Everyone deserves access to hyperlocal fresh produce grown by their friends and neighbors.”

After spending over 40 years gaining experience in Residential and Commercial Real Estate Brokerage, Development, Management, Construction & Financing, I decided to focus my time on Indoor Vertical Farming.

In 2015, I founded iGrowNews.com and in 2018 I founded iGrowPreOwned.com

I am presently exploring other areas of Urban, Indoor, and Vertical Farming, and how these practices can be used to improve and decentralize our food systems.”

My passion for sustainable farming techniques stems from my belief that access to affordable, nutritious, and locally sourced produce should not be a luxury, but a right every person is entitled to.

Once I began educating myself on where our food is transported from and the negative impact this has on our environment, these techniques no longer became a hobby for me but what I wanted to devote my life to. You should demand high quality when it comes to your diet and we are aiming to provide just that.
