BOSTON, April 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --

FreshBox Farms, located in Millis, Massachusetts is providing the freshest and cleanest leafy greens available to the Greater Boston area. Customers are increasingly making the choice for healthier and cleaner foods, particularly produce. Following a soft-launch in 2015 under their test brand, there has been increasing requests to purchase their local greens. The wait is over! FreshBox Farms has continued to innovate their proprietary indoor farming technology to meet additional market demand.  FreshBox Farms CEO, Sonia Lo, is excited to announce, "As of April 13, our loyal customers can purchase our greens in all twenty Roche Bros. Supermarket locations."

"Roche Bros. Supermarkets has been great to work with, and we're looking forward to releasing new products with them in the near future," remarks Sonia Lo.  Currently FreshBox Farms Spring Mix will be available at all Roche locations with select locations offering Arugula and a 50/50 mix of various fresh lettuces and spinach. More information about FreshBox Farms' products is available on their website.

FreshBox Farms utilizes industry leading eco-friendly and sustainable farming practices that allow them to produce premium quality greens from their innovative indoor farm. The technology provides for control of the crop's environment, maximizing the true natural potential of each plant, including flavor. This also protects them from the contamination factors of outdoor farming, yielding the cleanest and purest leafy greens.

Fresher and cleaner produce, free of GMOs, pesticides, and herbicides may be what FreshBox Farms is best known for, but there is much more to their vision.  Sonia Lo elaborates, "we believe that sustainable agriculture is paramount in preserving our natural resources. When compared to field farming, we use 99% less water and just one of our 320 square foot farms replaces up to twenty acres of land, depending on the crop," Sonia has passionately shared this vision at a recent TED Talk in Boston, Massachusetts.
