USA: VIRGINIA - Vittone Farms Featured In Leader Magazine: Farm Credit of The Virginias Fall 2021 Issue

In the latest issue of Leader Magazine, Vittone Farms featured in the two- page spread: “Bedford County Container Farm makes waves in Rural Lake Community.”

Located in Moneta, VA, just outside of Smith Mountain Lake, a popular vacation spot for Virginians, Vittone Farms grows leafy produce in a unique container farm. The Vittone Farms container farm features an expertly organized shipping container that houses 10,000+ plants and utilizes the hydroponic vertical growing method, eliminating many of the typical threats farmers face during the growing season. Due to the nature of the indoor hydroponic growing method, plants inside the container farm are safe from environmental factors such as drought, cold weather, or water saturation. In addition, the plants are safe from insects and harmful pesticides and are 100% organic. Sustainably sourced, the 10,000 plants use 5 gallons of water per day for the equivalent of 2.5 acres of produce.
