Indoor farming company Square Roots now supplies all Whole Foods stores in New York and Michigan with their fresh herbs.

Director of Communications John Kell said all 14 New York Whole Foods stores will carry Square Roots basil, cilantro, and parsley, and seven Michigan Whole Foods stores will carry Square Roots basil, cilantro, parsley, and dill, grown by the indoor facility in those states.

Square Roots has farming facilities in Wyoming, MI, and Brooklyn, NY.

Whole Foods places a high priority on locally grown products in their stores and named ultra-urban farming as one of its top food trends for 2022.
