VIDEO: See Behind-The-Scenes At NASA’s Kennedy Space Center Plant Labs

A group of plant scientists and engineers at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center recently conducted a tour of their facilities and a Q&A session for students participating in the Grow Beyond Earth project, in which they helped to select the plant varieties best suited for spaceflight.

In this video (which is about an hour long), you’ll see Gioia Massa, Christina Johnson, and Jacob Torres, who have all been guests on Gardeners of the Galaxy. Jacob shows off his 3D printing workshop, Christina tells us about her work on microgreens (there’s a fun video of the work Christina and her team did in the zero-g plane), and a NASA project scientist talks about working with hyperspectral imaging.
