Meet The Global Freight Farmers

Our diverse farmers share a common goal: providing fresh, local food to their communities.

Seif and his business partner have an agriculture investment company (Tulima Ag Investments) and are launching a salad-based restaurant chain branded on locally grown products in Cairo, Egypt.

Brothers Daniel and Tobias Remes and friend Ellen Bergström came together to start Harvest when they took a look at the fresh food market in their northern Sweden city of Umeå and realized it was severely lacking. With long, cold, and dark Swedish winters making it impossible to grow fresh food locally year-round, Umeå residents are used to getting second-rate food shipped from elsewhere in Europe. Harvest looks to change that by growing food right in Umeå year-round.

Magnus of Spriar & Sporar has a background in commercial banking, which he retired from last June to work on starting a local hydroponic farming operation - something the Faroe Islands didn’t have yet. His Greenery is part of a larger project that will also include a mushroom farm and he will be selling produce to the main hotel on the island - their restaurant is super excited to have a local option!

Everlane and Saitex Denim's joint purchase of 3 Freight Farms are supplying fresh produce to communities where their employees live and work in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
