A Freight Farm is not your traditional farm; it's a cutting-edge, self-contained ecosystem housed within a repurposed shipping container. Inside these compact and versatile structures, we harness the power of hydroponics and vertical farming to grow fresh, nutritious produce year-round, regardless of climate or location. From leafy greens and herbs to fruits and vegetables, Freight Farms empowers individuals, communities, and businesses to cultivate a sustainable future while minimizing environmental impact.

Grow Lights

At the heart of every Freight Farm are the state-of-the-art grow lights, meticulously engineered to simulate the sun's natural spectrum and provide optimal conditions for plant growth. These advanced LED lights serve as the lifeblood of our indoor farming ecosystem, delivering the precise wavelengths of light needed for photosynthesis to occur efficiently. Designed to be energy-efficient and long-lasting, our grow lights ensure consistent and bountiful harvests year-round, regardless of external factors like weather or season. With customizable light intensity and duration, we have full control over the growth cycle of their crops, maximizing yields and quality while minimizing resource consumption.

Hydroponic System

The hydroponic system is the beating heart of the Freight Farm, representing a fundamental shift in how crops are grown. Unlike traditional soil-based agriculture, which relies on nutrient-rich soil, hydroponics cultivates plants in a soil-less environment, with roots immersed in a nutrient-rich water solution. Overall, the hydroponic system in a Freight Farm represents a modern, efficient, and sustainable approach to agriculture, enabling year-round crop production with minimal environmental impact.

Vertical Farming Infrastructure

Vertical farming infrastructure in Freight Farms revolutionizes traditional agriculture by efficiently utilizing vertical space within a compact indoor environment. Through the use of stacked growing racks or towers, crops are grown upward, maximizing the available space and significantly increasing yields compared to conventional farming methods.

What will happen to all the food that is grown?

All lettuce grown within our Freight Farm will be exclusively purchased by the our high school for integration into school lunches. This collaborative initiative ensures that the freshest, nutrient-rich produce is readily available to nourish the minds and bodies of students. By sourcing directly from our indoor farming facility, the high school can guarantee the highest quality ingredients while supporting environmentally-conscious farming practices. Through this commitment to community collaboration and healthy living, we're proud to contribute to a brighter, greener future for our students.
